Designer Take: Ursula’s Patterned Paper Background

I asked Ursula to take on Challenge #52, to create a page with a patterned paper background. She delivered with a layout that pairs photos of New York’s Times Square and the Amy Tangerine cityscape paper from My Favorite:

I especially love how Ursula personalized the patterned paper by “lighting” several of the windows. By filling some squares with yellow, it looks like people are home.

I also love how Ursula chose a contrasting patterned paper for the top of her layout. The different color and pattern gives the title and the large photo a place to rest.

If you’d like to play along with this challenge, there’s still time – and a $10.00 credit up for grabs! You can find all the detailsĀ here. Have a great day!
