Designer Take: Jenni’s Non-Holiday Layout

Enjoying the holidays? I hope so! Today I have something else you might enjoy – Jenni’s take on our current challenge to create a non-holiday layout:

The All is Bright kit pairs well with not only snowy photos, but lush green ones, too! Don’t you just love the pretty paper flowers that Jenni created?

Thanks for the inspiration, Jenni! You’ve been a wonderful guest designer this month. If you’ve got a little bit of down time during this busy time of year, there is still a week to play along with the challenge. You could win a $10 credit to the shop – what a great way to start 2013! The details for entering are here. Have a great day!

Remember the Details

Today I’m sharing a page I did using the All is Bright kit! Don’t forget to scrap the little details of your holiday season (or every day life).

This page is about the trunk of our Christmas tree this year. When we cut it down a bit we noticed this star right in the center that ran all the way up the trunk. So cool! I love adding hidden/interactive journaling tags into my  Divine Twine red and white bag. I really loved the custom cardstock cuts this month as well. They made pulling a page together so simple and fun – especially someone without a cutting machine themselves!

Don’t forget to scrap YOUR little details!

One Item Wonder: Scrapbook Circle Tags

Merry Christmas! I have a gift for you – a beautiful layout by Rebecca featuring the exclusive Scrapbook Circle tags from the All is Bright kit.

Rebecca brought the Merry and Bright tag to life with mist, sewing, and glossy accents. Gorgeous!

Thanks for the inspiration, Rebecca. Have a wonderful day!

take 2.

I had the wonderful opportunity to take a second chance on a layout that I made WAY back in June 2010:

I loved this layout, I loved the business and the layering but of course the pictures are my favorite!  I tried to capture this feel again with this layout (just a coincidence that it’s the same boy):

As you can see the idea was generally the same with a few minor adjustments, like the journaling being visible, and same elements being placed in other areas on the page.  Have you ever scrap lifted yourself?  It is FUN!  The challenge is what you make it! 🙂

We would love to see your creations on our Facebook page-Please share!

Hello! Today I am sharing a layout I created using the December kit – All is Bright.

I love the color palette in this kit. For this layout I used a piece of patterned paper as my base. I tucked tags, border stickers and die cuts under my main photo. I created these snowflakes in my Silhouette Studio and cut them out. I sprayed them with some silver mist. If you don’t have the color mist to match, paint would work just fine. The title is hand written in Silhouette Studio and cut out with my Cameo. Last month I created similar titles that were hand written and cut out with scissors.

I have recently offered snowflakes for a free download. If you have a Silhouette you are more than welcome to download these files on my blog.

Don’t forget to share your pages on our Facebook page.

{merry and bright card}

Hi there! I wanted to pop in this morning and share a card I made with December’s kit – All is Bright. I used one of the Pink Paislee tags as well as some of my punches to create this quick card!

Around here there is lots of snow and we are in full prep mode for Christmas! I hope you have a great Holiday season with your family and friends. From all of us at Scrapbook Circle, Merry Christmas!

Designer Take: Allison’s Non-Holiday Layout

Allison has been putting her All is Bright kit to the test – can she make a non-holiday layout with its contents? Absolutely! Check it out:

Pulling the color palette from the photo, this layout features some of my favorite papers and embellishments from the December kit without a whisper of holiday.

The vellum triangles and stripes all say “boy” to me, rather than holiday glam and candy canes. Great job, Allison!

If you’d like to play along with the challenge, you still have a couple of weeks. Find all the details here. Have a great day!

One Item Wonder: December Printable

Jennifer and our guest designer, Jenni, have got great projects for you today featuring the December Printable! Check out these adorable treat boxes by Jennifer:

All Jennifer did to embellish the boxes was print out the printable, layer a few pieces, and finish with pretty ribbon. Voila! Easy and oh-so-cute!

Jenni created a beautiful layout featuring several elements from the printable:

I love the clustered “merry” tags and the gift tag in the bottom corner.

If you’re in need of quick embellishments for some holiday goody-giving, or the perfect accents for a holiday layout, look no further than the December printable! Thanks for the inspiration, Jennifer and Jenni. Have a great day!
