Creative Titles

Hi all! I’m super excited for my first post on the Scrapbook Circle blog. The True Stories kit is such a fun summer-y kit, which is why all my pages feature my vacation photos.

This kit didn’t include a large alpha, but an adorable small alpha set with two color schemes. This was a little harder for me as I am a thicker addict and usually have large titles. This forced me to get a little creative when I was planning out my pages.

For this first page, I used a combination of the printable and the Elle’s Studio tags to create a title, “Hello, Summer 2012.” The tags give plenty of good options for titles.

For this next page, I used my Silhouette SD to cut out the title, and then added a colorful piece of cardstock behind the negative image. I know not everyone has a die cutter, you could also you an ex-acto knife to hand cut a title.

And for this last page, I ended up using a LOT of the little alphas. I normally wouldn’t make such a long title, but using a smaller alphabet set gives more flexibility for long winded titles, like mine. Since I was using a smaller alpha, I added the title directly onto the photo to make it stand out more.

There are so many more possibilities, using the twine to write out a title, or using the American Crafts Bits, I hope you have a great time coming up with unique ways to make your titles with this kit.

Thanks for stopping by!
