Printable Printing Tips

Have you been using the printable that comes with your kit each month? I hope so! It gives you an endless supply of coordinating design embellishments for each kit.

All of our printables come ready to fill an 8.5″ X 11″ page. I normally print the printables on white cardstock, but almost any color of cardstock or paper will work. You can get creative and use plain cardstock or even patterned paper with a light pattern for printing.

Today I want to share a printing tip with you so that you customize the size of your printable to fit your needs.

This month’s printable includes an alpha page with two different styles of alphabets. For one of my layouts, I wanted the alphas to be a little smaller. Changing the size of the image is easy!

1. Open the printable pdf
2. Go to File > Print
3. You should have an option under “page scaling” to change the size of the image being printed
4. Select the size you want to scale your page to
5. Print

You can see that the white page was printed out at the regular 8.5″ X 11″ size and I scaled the page printed on the kraft paper to be a bit smaller.

If you have Photoshop Elements or another photo edited program, you can open the pdf in that program and change the image size there. Just save at the new size and print.

Here I printed one regular sized tag page on white and then two smaller tag pages on yellow and orange.

Changing the size of the printable is a great way to get even more from this product.
