One Item Wonder: Corrugated Shapes

Have you got your Anniversary Kit yet?  This beautiful kit includes the popular corrugated shapes by Jillibean Soup and Nicole featured them center stage on two fabulous cards.

Nicole layered a corrugated frame on a doily inset with patterned papers, then layered a button, twine, and stick pin over that.  What gorgeous details!

For this card, Nicole altered her corrugated frame with paint and stitching.  Just beautiful!

Whether you choose to use the corrugated shapes as-is, or alter them with paints, the results are going to be fabulous!  And if you haven’t got your hands on the Anniversary Kit yet, you can win one by playing along with challenge #8. Have a wonderful day!

Lifting You – Sara

Hello, and happy Monday everyone! For this week’s Lifting You feature we’re sharing Sara’s page with you. Sara shared her page with us on the Scrapbook Circle Facebook page.

There was so much about Sara’s page that I loved. The placement of the pictures, the title, all those great little extras! She was lifted by Nicole and Heather.

This first page is from Heather. I love how true to the lift she stayed. And the colors in this are lovely. Adorable pics, too. All around fabulousness!!

And here is Nicole’s lift of Sara’s page. Wow, such a great page. Those cutie buttons in the corner of the photos are such a fabulous way to use the Jillibean Soup corrugated alphas from the kit.

I have to say that these 3 pages are some of my new favorites. Seems I might need to be doing a lift of my very own, eh?! Have you been playing along with our weekly lifts? Share your pages on Facebook on the Scrapbook Circle fan page to share with us! Who knows, you may be our next Lifting You!

Delightful & Soft

Good morning scrappers!

Happy Sunday morning to you all. Have you received your May kit yet? Have you devoured all of its deliciousness? Here is a layout I made of my youngest at the beach on a cloudy day. The soft colors from the May kit were just perfect for the photo.

This was also a great way to use up the leftovers with a bunch of 1 1/2 in squares! I also tried a new misting technique on this layout. I think I need a bit more practice, but that’s okay! Have a wonderful day!

Embracing the bits & pieces

I have always loved using little bits and pieces of papers and embellishments on my pages! In fact, it helps stretch your supplies and adds a whimsical feel to your pages!

With this month’s Grandma’s Attic kit, I used a lot of little bits and pieces to create this page of my daughter:

I used some of the journalling pieces from one of the Crate Paper patterned papers in the kit, cracked out my punches and punched some shapes from the paper, and even cut up some of the Hambly white banner rub-ons, to make mini half-doilies for touches around the edge of the page!  The Crate Paper die cut sticker sheet in the kit is also super to add a little piece here and there – the label and shaped stickers are awesome!

So next time you might be running low with some embellishments, have fun playing with bits and pieces of your patterned papers and layer them with some fun stickers too!

Anniversary Giveaway #15: Vintage Rose Wraps

We are so excited to share our giveaway sponsor for today: Vintage Rose Wraps. They are generously donating a $50 credit to their online store!

These shabby and chic wraps come in all colors of the rainbow and add just the right flair to any outfit–to make you feel vintagy, yet fresh–hip, yet humble. The best part about them is you hardly know it’s there when wearing one. The soft, cotton fabric and easy tie makes wearing them absolutely effortless.

My daughters and I bought a few of these at a boutique last year and we all love wearing them! Now you have a chance to own some too!

Just leave a comment here letting us know which wrap you would choose and you are entered to win the $50 store credit to Vintage Rose Wraps.

…with this beautiful layout:

Congratulations! Please email me at tessabuys (at) yahoo (dot) com with your mailing information and we will get your prize out to you.

Our next challenge is inspired by a piece of paper in the Grandma’s Attic kit – “Inventory” from Crate Paper’s Emma’s Shoppe line.

Your challenge is to draw inspiration from this paper and then create a layout.  Whether you use the actual paper, incorporate a ledger or polka dots, or go with a red and turquiose color palette, let “Inventory” spark your creative juices.

To enter, create a layout that satisfies the challenge and post it to your blog, a gallery, or our facebook page.  Leave a comment on this post with a direct link to your layout by Wednesday evening, June 1st.  Although we would love to see Scrapbook Circle kits in use, everyone is welcome to play with whatever materials they choose.

The winner will receive the May kit, Grandma’s Attic!

Good luck and happy scrapping!
