Weekend Warm-up: Challenge #1

Are you enjoying the new blog content this week?  I certainly am!  Ready for another new and wonderful part of the Scrapbook Circle blog?  Yes, you read correctly, Scrapbook Circle is now offering challenges!  Here are the details:

*A new challenge will be set each 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month as part of our “Weekend Warm-up” series.  You don’t have to scrap your entry over the weekend, but if you’re like me and tend to do most of your scrapping during that time, the challenges will be a great place to jump start your creativity.

*You will have until the Wednesday night (9:00 p.m. PST) before the next challenge is set to link us to your entry in the comment section of the challenge blog post.

*You may post your entry to a gallery, your blog, or the Scrapbook Circle facebook page.  Just be sure to leave us a link on the challenge post.

*Materials used for your entry should be from a Scrapbook Circle kit, past or present.

*Prizes will be awarded!  The winner will be randomly chosen from the entries received.

Ready for the first challenge?  Here goes!  Your challenge is to “fussy cut” elements from patterned paper to serve as embellishments on a layout.  For example, in this layout I fussy cut both the petal shapes and the lace border from sheets of patterned paper in the February kit.

One lucky participant will win this mini kit, filled with American Crafts Love Line Rub-ons, Ribbons, Thickers and Tags:

Ready to play?  Be sure to link us to your entry by leaving a comment on this blog post.  Have fun cutting and creating!
