Stitched background – Ticket to my heart
Hi everyone! Dani Donner here today bringing my favourite page from Charmed Life. It is hard to pick a favourite, but I have to admit the Amy Tangerine stitch templates are my go-to item in the whole add-on this month:
And what a better idea than pair it with one of my favourite medias at the moment: VELLUM!!!!
You have to be extra careful when stitching, so you end up with a perfect back. No knots or tape allowed, all I used to keep the thread in place was a drop of Glossy accents.
Some fussy cutting for the embellishments, a feather to compliment the airy look of the page and your all set!
It was some time consuming, but the end result was worthy. I was able to accomplish the airy/whimsical look I wanted when I first thought about pairing stitching background to vellum.
Thanks for stopping by,
Dani Donner

The chevron stitch: HOLY TIME CONSUMING! Not to mention it’s kind of an IQ test! I am STILL working on mine from a layout I started Friday.
Its gorgeous, but wow! Too much work for my style heheh!
Ok, I see why it’s taking me so long to use the chevron stitch. I noticed here you connected all of the chevron arrows. I was trying to make them more individual and leave spaces…which is difficult! DUHH! Totally wish I would have done it the way you did!
Love it! The vellum too! Still have Amy’s embroidery stencils on my wish list!
