Stencil, spray, cut, splatter, repeat!
I’ll admit it. I’m not over spray inks. Nope. Still love them.
So I am doing my layouts, and I come across this stencil that I bought for my HOME, not my scrapbook pages! But I had an idea! I have to say, It was kinda fun working with such a large stencil design. It created a bold design (this would be SO easy to cut out on a Silhouette or a Cricut!) AND it was VERY easy to trace paper and cut the shape too!
I laid the stencil down. Then I sprayed orange (Mr Huey, to be exact) and then splattered orange-and then splattered green too! I took the stencil off the paper and continued to splatter with orange and green! (I just take the sprayer out of the bottle, and use the end of the plastic tube to splatter it on the paper).
Ahhh. But their is more! I wanted to have a base with more color-so the simple solution was to now trace with the stencil, cut the shape out, and distress the edges. Now laying the shapes and the pictures down was just a matter of balance. A bit of a puzzle!
Despite the randomness of the background, I was still able to create a “design triangle” with the embellishment!
So-have you used anything random or unexpected to spray ink with?? What are your favorite shapes right now? Love this “honeycomb”! You see it everywhere lately in scrapbooking AND home decor!!
Thanks for stopping by!!
