Challenge #31: Mothers
Mother’s Day is celebrated in the US in just a little over a week from now, but no matter where you live, mothers deserve to be celebrated everyday, don’t you think? Challenge #31 is the perfect opportunity to to do just that. Document your thoughts on motherhood, mothers in your family, or other special women in your life in a layout.
Using “The Story” and the “Life Documented” add-on, I decided to collect some of my favorite quotations about mothers. Inspired by the SMASH journaling pad in the add-on, I created my layout in one of my SMASH books:
All of the Elle’s Studio tags, Heidi Swapp labels, and Cosmo Cricket papers were perfect for SMASHing. I wrote short quotes on the smaller journaling spots and used journaling tags from the SMASH pad for longer quotes.
I added some mist and washi tape, but everything else you see is from the May kit and add-on. I have a feeling I’ll be using a lot more of “The Story” for SMASHing.
I’ll be sharing a traditional 12×12 layout by Rebecca with you next week, but no matter the format you scrapbook in, I hope you’ll join in on this challenge. Ready to play? Here’s how:
1. Create a layout with the theme of Mothers. We would love to see a Scrapbook Circle kit in action, but any materials will do.
2. Post your layout to your blog, a gallery, or our Facebook page. Come back to this post and leave a comment with the direct link to your posted project.
3. Deadline to enter is Wednesday, May 16th, 9:00 pm Pacific.
4. One player will be randomly selected to win a $10.00 Scrapbook Circle credit.
Happy scrapping!

what a GREAT challenge–LOVE your take!
Fantastic! It is a fantastic way to show case your thoughts.
Here’s mine. Not a typical “motherhood” page. Instead, it’s about my thoughts on never being a mother. My husband and I tried but it just didn’t happen for us. And I’m mostly ok with that. But it’s still hard. This is a page for my second Creative Therapy album. The journaling is on the back. I didn’t use an SC kit for the majority of the page but the sun sticker is from the most recent kit “The Story”.

I love the thought of keeping all your quotes together like that!
Great way to use the Elle’s Studio tags as well.
