A popular trend out right now has got to be pennants… pennants in every form.

Banners, tags… you name it!

This month, I found I was drawn to using the pennant as a shape for the papers on my page instead of the square edges I might normally choose to use on my projects.

I found that the pennant shape is a whimsical way to add some texture in the layers on this project,

mixed with some straight edges:

I love the different patterns and colour combonations in the kit and they all work so well together too!

Now, I really wanted to use this Fancy Pants paper in the January kit:

 - I loved all the colour on the paper, but didn’t want all the writing.. so, I chopped it up into a bunch of pennant shapes for this page instead – keeping the pennant trend in mind:

All those little tags fit in perfectly with some scraps of other papers I had leftover from my kit too!
