Sophie here to share with you my love for starbusts or rosettes !

I am in love with the dimension and the happiness these elements bring to layouts!

I had these photos of my boy laughing as I was tickling him! I thought  starbusts would be the perfect way to illustrate his joy on my layout.

 Some manufacturers offer their own starbusts dies, but I don’t own one of these.

So, let me explain to  you how to create your own starbusts without a die:

1.  Cut a long stip of paper
2. You can punch the border with a decorative border punch
3. If you have a scoring board use it to create the creases along the strip (they are about half a centimeter apart )
but I use my trimmer to mark the creases
4. Then adhere both ends together
5. Now this is the hard part: adhere the rosette onto a circle of paper using lots of glue! then use a weigth to hold the rosette down while the glue dries out.
6. You can add a button, a die-cut embellishment or a photo in the center of your rosette.
