Note to Self: Time Flies and the Ink Didn’t Dry

My daughter just turned 8 and when I was looking back at these photos I took during an impromptu photo shoot in the front yard, I made a mental note to myself that the old saying is true – they grow up too fast.  I realize she still has a lot of growing and learning to do but it just really hit me that time is flying by and if 8 years went by this fast, imagine how quick the next 8 will go.

I just love the Fancy Pants No. 2 Pencils paper in the Fresh Picked kit. The backside has these incredible journaling spots which were perfect for writing my thoughts about her that day.

I also used the Wood Shop alphas that are absolutely TDF.  I really wanted them to tie into my daughter’s dress so I inked them in bright red and then once I thought they were dry I used various stamp designs inked in blue.

A word of warning if you try this at home…make sure the alphas are completely dry before you add them to yout layout.  Let them sit overnight or use a heat gun or something.  If you don’t, you’ll end up with a big mess like the one you can read about on my blog. Hint: The layout you see above was my 2nd try!!!
