Weekend Warm-up: Journaling Card Mini
I love journaling cards and the April kit came with a whole delightful sheet of them. Instead of breaking them apart and using them on various layouts, I decided to create a little mini album with the cards as my pages:
I chose to back each card with cardstock, but you could easily skip that step. I rounded the corners because I find with mini albums that round corners tend to last longer. I used a little bit of washi tape to accent each page and secured them together with a simple metal ring.
I used photos that I had on hand – extras from previous layouts or accidental duplicates. This project was a great way to put those wallet-sized photos to good use.
I plan to keep this mini in my purse pocket so that in the grocery store lines or doctor’s office I will have a fun little book to entertain the boys with. Plus, it makes a cute brag book
.
So if you’re scrapping this weekend, and you have journaling cards to spare, consider a quick mini. Do you have other creative ideas for journaling cards? I’d love to hear them
. Have a great day!
