Halloween Pics!

Since today is Halloween and it’s my day to post (well, I have already posted a card below. lol)…I thought that I would also share some fun Halloween pics from our party last night.

I was a dead/mauled prom queen. All of my editing and fun Halloween effects I did on Picnik.

In the above photo, I used “ghostify”.

We also had a devil in disguise, me, a doctor, pin up girl and some toothpaste.

a black widow also showed up. watch out for her bite! yow! (adding blood splatters on the wall above and the ghost in the photo below using Picnik)

the Allstate guy.  “shaky, shaky, shaky”   I love that guy! (have you seen those commercials?)

I put all these photos in my Halloween mini!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN ALL!

Halloween Card

Happy Halloween all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How has your weekend been? Got lots of good treats?

I had some scraps leftover from the Spooky Town kit, so I whipped up a quick card.

I used some fun Shimmerz paints and spritz to alter this ribbon and for the crow and title of the card.

Hope you have enjoyed! and I hope you have had a wonderfully spooky weekend! ;D

Just a splash of red

Happy Halloween Eve! (I think that is like saying Christmas Eve Eve… which reminds me of a joke.  What do you call Dec. 23rd? Christmas Adam, because Adam came before Eve!)  Ha! Ha!

Anyways, I loved the muted colors of this paper and it was perfect for the pictures I had in mind. But, when I was all done, it looked quite bland.  So, I looked over at the scraps of paper left on my table and saw a few longer strips of a red paper that I had trimmed off for another layout. I stuck them on, and it added just enough uumph! to get the layout to where it needed to be. Sometimes all it takes is just a splash of red!

Weekend Warm-up 10.29

Happy Friday!  If you’re anything like me, you’re busy with Halloween parties, finishing costumes, baking, or trick-or-treating this weekend.  I don’t see much scrapbook time in the very near future.  But that’s okay – you need to make the memories before you can make the scrapbook pages, right?

Rather than offer a challenge for today, I thought I’d ask a question.  What do you do with your layouts when they are done?  Do they go in a pile?  Do they go immediately into an album?  Do you display them somehow?

I like to display my layouts in my scrapbook room for a little while before filing them away in albums.  I have two 12 x 12 clipboards that I rotate layouts in and out of:

I also have “clotheslines” made of ribbon that I attach layouts to with clothespins.  When the lines get full, I start rotating layouts out.  My boys like to come in and look, and I like that they aren’t touching or bending pages to turn them in an album.  Plus, there’s the bonus of inspiring myself when I’m creating.

So what do you do?  I’d love to know!  Happy Friday! Tessa

Digi Downloads Love!

Happy Friday everyone! :)

I’m sure all of you scrappers know how it is to be in the middle of creating a layout and suddenly, you’re stumped.  You can’t find any embellishments that will match your layout, nothing that you own seems to be what you need to complete it.  Well, if you were creating with a Scrapbook Circle kit you would never run into this kind of problem!  I LOVE how there are always so many embellishments included with the kits each month.  I could seriously cover a whole page with JUST embellishments and I would still have lots left over!

Scrapbook Circle has taken embellishments a step further and now there are a page of Digi downloads included with the purchase of each kit.  It’s like getting another whole set of embellishments!  I had a blast with my October kit digi downloads.  Here are two of my layouts using them!:

Make sure to share your creations with the October kit and your creations using the October kit digi downloads on our Facebook page!

Have a fabulous weekend!

Halloween in Wonderland…

Well the end of October is upon us and Monday is NOVEMBER 1.  I can’t believe that!!!

So the whole reason I got the Halloween kit this month was for ONE particular photo I had in mind!  You see, 3 years ago, my hubby and I dressed as Alice and the Mad Hatter.  So of course, I had to have the Graphic 45 paper with the Wonderland theme on it.  The funny thing is, I have never scrapped this photo before, and I don’t know why!  I love it!

I cut out the images from the G45 paper and also used some of the title “cards” around the edge of my photo and as a title.   I cut the tree from black cardstock with my cricut, and used a piece of scrap paper for the moon.  The striped black and white background of the Girl’s Paperie paper really looked “wonderland-y” to me, too!

I hope you have a fun and safe halloween!

Tie it up…

Just a quick tip for you today…something to add just a little extra POP to your October Kit layouts…
I love love love the Pink Paislee tickets…and to make them pop just a little more on this layout, I tied them up with baker’s twine…I love the soft look it gave to them and I think it helped soften up the straight lines I had going before I added them…

So next time you need a little extra something…tie it up!
