Scrapbook Kits
I am loving this December kit! I had so much fun with all the great embellishments that it comes with. In this layout, I clustered all my photos/paper/journaling/embellishments on one side. Then, almost as an afterthought, I took three little circle and placed them in the opposite corner. I like the look. Your eye isn’t quite expecting to see those three circles apart from everything else.

I thought I’d share with you my first lo that I created with the awesome December kit. I am loving all the awesome chipboard and the Crate Paper and Pink Paislee papers are fabulous!!!
All supplies are from the kit except the ribbon, pins and white thickers which are from my supplies!!! We look forward to seeing your creations with the December kit!
Happy scrapping!

Here’s just a tiny bit of what you have to look forward to in the December kit! Lots of Christmas stuff, but also things that don’t have to be used for holiday layouts.
Everything here is from the December kit, except for the letters that are from my stash. Trust me, you’ll love the letters that come in the kit, but they simply did not fit on this layout. I am using them everywhere else, however!

Don’t forget to check out our idea gallery on December 1st for more inspiration for the December kit!
Here are a couple of different ways to use arrows.
1. Point out the details.
For this layout I wanted to point out the “thing” that my boys were looking at
2. Go big and use for journaling.
When I was working on this layout, I really struggled. There were so many aspects — the photos, the money, the ticket stub, an ice cream spoon, and journaling cards that I all wanted to be a part of it. It was really busy looking and didn’t feel like it went together.
Do you ever feel like you get into a rut with the journaling on your layouts? I believe that a layout isn’t complete without journaling, but sometimes find myself not quite knowing what to say. I also feel that it is important to journal in your own handwriting…for me, it just feels more personal.
GIRL kitty:

and a close up of the Crate Paper Season Collection birdie rubon and the wonderful Jillibean Soup Corrugated Kraft alphas…

Here’s are a few closeups of the journaling on my layout. For fun, I decided to write the journaling as if KitKat was sending our family a MEMO and mixed my own handwriting, date stamp & tiny alpha stickers:

Love all of the journaling spots & stickers included in the November kit!

Another closeup showing off the adorable Crate Paper Season Collection rubons and border stickers & the Basic Grey Opalines-Half Pearls in blue…just gorgeous!

So, give your journaling a twist…I think it will surprise you what you can come up with!
Thanks for stopping by! Take care!
Stacy
I love these two pictures of my daughter Kira, but could not choose between the two. I decided to use both, keeping one in colour and turning the other one to black and white. I find it gives the layout a cool look!
Mixing colour and black and white pictures together is great to show off many photos while keeping the focus on a favourite shot.
All supplies are from the gorgeous November kit, Radiant Harvest.
