I love the September kit and the Jenni Bowlin journaling cards that are included in this kit! On the layout below I decided to use the journaling card with stamps and cut out strips of the card. I especially love the numbers in the margin of the card, I decided to place then out of order just to add a bit of fun to the layout. I look forward to seeing how you use those journaling cards!

Since October is almost here, I’ve thought it’s time to think about what fun projects I can create for Halloween! We have our Halloween kit to help you with all of your creations.

One project I did last week was this hanging cone. I’m going to hang it next to a “spooky” banner I made last year and fill it with a sweet treat (probably peanut M&M’s!)Another project I made with the Halloween kit is this 8 X 8 layout. I have an album where a keep a layout of my kids in their Halloween costumes each year. Here’s a look at the layout featuring the 2007 costumes.

Hello everyone, I hope you are all good and well!

I unfortunately had to skip last week’s post because of a wonky internet connection, so I thought I’d make up for it by sharing 2 projects today.

First, here’s a card I like to call “high style”, LOL! When I first saw this Lily Bee flower, I wanted to use it right away it’s so gorgeous. However, I don’t really have a scrapbooking style that goes well with it, so I thought a card would be best. Very simple to make, but highly stylish, don’t you think?!

Here is a layout using a Fancy Pants KraftKutz paper and some Lily Bee papers and die-cuts. I also used a Jenni Bowlin journaling card that I cut in two. And those Jenni Bowlin mini-alphas? My new favourite product!!

I used to be afraid of white space. Then, I went overboard and would leave too much white space. Now, I hope I’ve reached a happy medium! I like clustering several patterned papers and embellishments over about 1/3 of the paper. Then, put your photo (s) on top the the clustering. I feel like this draws the eye to the photo — which is the reason for the layout anyway, right? The september kit is FULL of fun layering papers — all different shapes, size, and colors — so cluster away!

Happy Friday Scrapbook Circle Blog readers! Gotta love it when Friday rolls around )

The sketch calls for a 5×7 photo, but I didn’t have any photo paper at home that size…so I decided to print the photo onto cardstock! I LOVE how it turned out! I also used Picasa 3 to change the photo to B & W and to also keep the color focus on my son’s orange hunting vest…I think this turned out pretty cool…& adds to the “vintage” feel of the layout!

With the September kit!!! This was my first time working with Lily Bee Designs papers and I am in love!!! The smaller die cut sheets are so fabulous! Don’t know why there aren’t more companies doing these. On the layout below I used one of those die cut sheet for the placement of my title. Love the effect and the little tulip!
